Q1. So, in the end, how’d your WP2 paper go? What were you happy with? What weren’t you? Why? Be specific! (Remember: this is fodder for your end-of-quarter metacognitive reflection)
I actually felt like My WP2 went well. I came back to it multiple times to revise it and include quotes, readings and evidence, which help me a lot. I feel like doing it in layers made it much more simple, opposed to doing it all at once and being cluttered with confusion.
Q2. Which 2 or 3 comments that you received yesterday were the most helpful for you? Why?
I received a comment yesterday about addressing the author instead of just saying “the author”. This helped make my paper more clear. Also, I had a few long paragraphs that were commented on. I decided to break them up in order to organize my paper more and categorize my thoughts and ideas. This helped my paper flow better and made my arguments and ideas clearer.
I also worked on the final draft of my essay in layers and I'll have to say I was so much less stressed than when I would do it in huge clumps so it was definitely helpful! Also, I had huge paragraphs (I did have that 91 word sentence) and so I split my paragraphs up too and I agree it helped my paper flow better as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a positive experience with this assignment!
I agree with the fact that going back multiple times to revise your paper is very helpful! I physically cannot do it all in one session. I also received a comment to change up the paper instead of just using the author's names every time, which I think helped. I always have a problem with having too long of paragraphs as well so I feel your struggle. Overall, I'm glad you are happy with your work and I'm sure you are going to get a good grade!
ReplyDeleteI should have probably worked on my WP in layers, because i felt as though doing it in one or two sittings was kind of stressful. Also, the long paragraphs were something I had a problem with too, because it seems so hard breaking one long paragraph in two when the ideas flow so well. I'm sure you did great.
